Re: Wahrk counting game dimentions?

No higher resolution image exists as far as I am aware, we're stuck with the game files for that one.

Our version may seem bigger. We created it by camera matching, using a default player height of (roughly) 6ft.

Make sure you share some pictures as your model comes along, we'd love to see it!

Re: Wahrk counting game dimentions?

Hi Peter.

Thanks for the kind words!

This is the highest resolution image we have of the Counting Toy, It's from the dvd version of Riven.
I've attached some measurements (cm) from our version, I hope they prove useful.

Re: Mountains with caves

Hi eon, The terrain you saw in the Mysterium video was created in Maya using its sculpting tools. This allowed us to do the complex concave shapes you see in the demo. Kelly was talking about our new efforts to recreate that terrain using Unreal's terrain system. We're doing this for a few reasons; ...

Re: Real Exile next?

We take it one project at a time - there is still plenty to do on realRiven!

Unfortunately it's not likely we (or any other fan project) will successfully finish an Exile or Revelation remake since those are both owned by Ubisoft.

Re: Node-based Movement

Hi 21moonflower, You will definitely be able to use node-based movement in realRiven. We plan for multiple modes of navigation, and one of them will be similar to rM:ME because that's what a lot of Myst fans are used to. I think being able to switch between the original stills and the real-time vers...

Re: Errors in Riven

Survey Island has a lot of weird geometry going on. Sometimes the interior doesn't even fit in the exterior shell of the island! Thanks for the video link, Daikun. We're well aware of this problem and we do have several plans for how it may be solved. As you guys know, we're dedicated to reproducing...

Re: Will the game be free?

Hi Jamie,

This is a question we can't really answer right now. It's not our place to price the final game or set where and when it will be sold. Sales and distribution will be Cyan's purview.

We just don't know yet!

Re: General support and encouragement thread!

Hi Algaedrone, thanks for sharing! I enjoyed your Riven breakdown, and I especially liked the comparison between Rivenese and D'ni technology. I agree with you that Riven's environmental storytelling is stellar - but I also think more and more games are doing this nowadays, which is fantastic. Narra...

That is AWESOME.

I am not sure if it'll help us, but we'll look into it. Thanks!

Re: The east path

The East Path is really cool, and if we were to make new areas it would be the one of the easiest to implement. However we will not be addressing any new areas until the original full game is complete (and even then, we will not promise anything). That said, you will see the East Path in game becaus...
