Re: Riven Actors
I think its been about 4 or 5 years since the project started. But they have had a few engine changes in there, and I think have scrapped entire areas to start again.

Re: Riven Actors
There was a ton of animation in the last demo, and honestly, animating levers and doors and so on is nothing next to animating people.

Re: Riven Actors
One word: Gollum. Or even Yoda. That's what it will take. Do they have the know-how to do that? I don't know. They do though have ridiculous amounts of being particular.... like for individual sticks and book covers... 8-) Look you're right, the acting in Mass Effect and so on is wooden and terrible...

Re: Riven Actors
I'd imagine Cyan still has the original 1997 source videos. I don't think video quality would be THAT different in the last 18 years. Could you guys ask them? John Keston's acting is irreplaceable, especially with all the nuance in his facial expressions. No, it'd be terrible! It would be in standa...

Re: Demo Review
Hi tychovii, to be honest, I have no concrete reasons. I believe I read it somewhere on a guide/infomation website years ago when I first played it and have always refered to it as such. Demo Review
I thought I would put together a review with my thoughts from the demo of yesterday. I think I might try and do this for each new area that 59 Volts displays pictures of. Make it into a bit of a series. Hopefully everyone finds my critique valid! I was going to put in some comparison pictures, but i...

Riven Actors
I was reading today that Cyan are going to be using stereoscopic live 3D recording for their actors for Obduction, which made me think, who would you get to play the characters in Riven nowadays if you were hypothetically going to live action them? This particularly sprang to mind as I have been rec...
